CHAMBER MUSIC CLASS

The Chamber Music Classes are conducted randomly based on student / group interest. The Chamber Music Class targets small variable chamber music groups of violinists, cellists etc. in combination with Grand Piano as the central focal point. These classes are conducted separately from the Master class period. Please call Espen Selvik at +47 55 12 31 00 for dates and further information.

All Chamber Music Classes are conducted by prof. Jiri Hlinka.

Application and requirements:

All applications shall include;

  * Candidate CV

* A recorded (non edited) performance of at least two contrasting musical pieces" (CD, DVD,Video). Minimum length 30 minutes.

Accommodation:

Accommodation is provided at Rekstensamlingene. The students will be accommodated at Rekstensamlingene. We have 5 apartments available for a total of 10 students. 2 students per apartment. Each apartment has an upright piano for training purposes. In addition, the academy have 8 Grand piano’s available for students. This includes Bechstein, Bohemia, Boston, Petrof and Steinway & Sons.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

Each Chamber Music session will be customized and tailored for each group based on requirements and repertoire. Agreements can be made directly with Espen Selvik up to one month ahead subject to availability.
